A Risk Worth Taking by Heather Hildenbrand

“A Risk Worth Taking” by Heather Hildenbrand was super cute. Summer and Ford have such a great chemistry together. They each have their own lives and their own issues but that doesn’t hinder the relationship that they have with each other. This story is told in a dual point of view between Summer and Ford. I think this was a great narrative to have for this epic romance. These two balance each other out perfectly.

Summer comes home from winter break to find out that her parents have separated and that her mom is moving out of the house. Summer’s parents pending divorce has really rocked Summer’s world in a bad way. One day they were the perfect family and now they are not. Summer now doesn’t know if she can trust herself or anyone around her to be truly happy. After Summer’s graduation she moves back home and breaks up with her current boyfriend, now all she needs to do is avoid her mother. The least thing that Summer expected was Ford. Ford is only in town for the summer and he tries to get Summer out of her head. He wants her to think about the present and the now.

I don’t think you could have picked better characters to put together. Ford and Summer are the best combination that I have seen in a while. I think these too work great together. I look forward to seeing if their journey continues and if not hopefully they live happily ever after because they both deserve it.
