Book Review: The Stories We Tell by Patti Callahan Henry

Eve and her husband Cooper are Savannah's socialites. Cooper comes from a very prominent Savannah family and Eve struggles to feel good enough Eve comes from a rough background. her family grew up very poor and with very religiously strict parents. Willa, Eve's sister is still trying to recover from her family's troubled upbringing. Willa lives in Eve's guest house and is a recovering alcoholic. Eve and Cooper start having issues in their marriage and tension because to rise. When Willa and Cooper are injured in a mysterious car wreck, Eve starts on a path to try to figure out what happened.

This story is all about marriage and trust. This novel brings everything about trusting your spouse into question. Eve wants to trust her husband and believe what he says but as she looks more and more into the accident she is finding too many things that don't add up. All Eve wants to do is get to the bottom of what happened to know the truth.

It was really hard seeing Eve having to question her husband's integrity but I can totally understand her reasoning for it. It must be hard to live like that. Always questioning the person you love because you feel like you can't completely trust them. Henry does a great job with her story line and her characters. Her characters just come to life. Henry always makes the story line and plot so interesting that it gets the reader hooked in and they are definitely there to stay.
