Book Review: Infinite by Jodi Meadows

I write this review slightly teary eyed because one of my favorite series has now come to an end. I have to say that it took me a long time to complete this book because I just didn't want it to end. I am definitely going to miss Ana and Sam. "Infinite" by Jodi Meadows is the conclusion to the "Incarnate" series. I loved getting to know Ana and Sam on this journey and I am sad to see them go but I have to say that "Infinite" wasn't my favorite in the whole series.

Ana and her few friends are trying to stop Janan from ascending and taking over everything. A few of them leave to find some things that can help them defeat Janan. The dragons and the sylth join the group in trying to take down Janan. How is Ana going to get everyone to work together? Are they able to stop Janan from ascending? Will they survive?

This is an epic series and it is coming to a conclusion. I still think the characters are fantastic. You can see how much both Ana and Sam have changed since the first book. Ana has grown into herself and has found the woman she wants to be. She is no longer this timid creature. Sam on the other hand has learned how to really love someone and think about someone else for a change instead of himself. I never really liked Stef and I still don't like Stef. Stef is nice to Ana sometimes and not nice to Ana others. Stef just seems to really get on my nerves. Of course there are many other characters you can discover for yourself if you read the series.

Why didn't I like this one as much as the other two? I really felt like "Infinite" was rushed. I felt like the story was on fast forward the entire time. The pace set for this story was completely different than the other too. Then when "Infinite" ended I was like oh okay, that's it. Maybe it is just me but I just don't feel like "Infinite" is complete. I don't think it is a bad novel because I think "Infinite" still deserves four stars, it just isn't my favorite book out of all of them. I feel like so much happened in this book to wrap up the story and things I didn't think would happen...happened. Definitely check out this series because it is still one of my favorites and definitely worth reading!
