This was a book I was originally drawn into by both the cover and the synopsis but as I read "Paradigm" by Ceri A. Lowe, I found that I really just couldn't get into this book. The society in this story is fairly new. It is only about 20 years old. The background is that some storms hit earth and completely destroyed it. The people are now living underground.
The main character Carter was put to sleep to be woken up later in life. I felt like this book was way too similar to Across the Universe by Beth Revis. Have the time I seemed to didn't know what the purpose of the characters were for. The major survivors of these storms were children because children found creative ways to survive. The entire book kept going back and forth between the past and present.
I honestly didn't like this story at all. I couldn't get into it. I felt really bored and unimpressed. I wish I could say something else but I just didn't enjoyed this book.
