Dazzled by Books

"Second Chance Ranch" by Cindi Madsen is a fantastic read. I am a huge fan of Madsen so when I saw that she was coming out with a new series I was extremely excited. If you haven't read anything by Cindi Madsen before, this would be a great place to start. I think this is a great story to start with. Sadie has hit rock bottom and has returned home. After two separate music contracts fell through, Sadie doesn't now what to do. Returning home also means that she will need to see Royce again. The man whose heart she broke many years ago. Looking for a job, Sadie ends up working for Royce at Second Chance Ranch. Will they be able to repair their friendship? Royce has a loving heart and definitely still has feelings for Sadie. Royce can't seem to get over how Sadie broke his heart so many years ago. Now that she is back, what is he going to do? He can't seem to get Sadie off his mind.

I loved the characters in "Second Chance Ranch." Sadie is so fun to get to know. It has got to be hard trying to accomplish your dreams and coming so close several times but never getting to reach that goal.Sadie is brave for returning home and admitting defeat and taking the time to have a break and find herself again. Sadie needs to find what she loved again. I like that Madsen brings the reader a character like Sadie. I like reading about characters that I can relate too. What about that handsome devil Royce? Not only is he swoon worthy but he is definitely the wounded cowboy. Royce put his walls up but he wasn't able to keep them up for long because Sadie was still able to get through to him.

I loved the plot in this book. I loved that Sadie came home to discover herself again. Sadie needed to find out what is really important to her and what she wants in life. I was hooked on this book right away and I wasn't disappointed at all. I think "Second Chance Ranch" is a great read. This book is so much fun and I think it makes a great beach read or a rainy day read. I think this story could bring a smile to anyone's face. I think Madsen is a very talented writer so definitely check out her other work too.
