"Reached" by Ally Condie was a great conclusion to the series. I think the "Matched" trilogy was beautifully written. It is very poetic as each story goes on. As a reader you find yourself holding on to Condie's every word to know what is going to happen next to Cassia, Ky, and Xander. Cassia, Ky, and Xander have grown up since the first and second novel.
There is a love triangle but at the same time their isn't. Cassia, Ky, and Xander are all friends that love each other. They would do anything for each other. Condie does a great job with her characters and making them easy to sympathize with. Condie makes all of her characters equal in the fact that you don't necessarily prefer one over the other. You would be completely happy for Cassia to be with Ky or Xander.
Cassia is now a sorter in Central, Ky is a pilot, and Xander is an official/doctor. These characters have come such a long way. There is still a little bit of a love triangle between the three of them because Ky and Xander both love Cassia but I feel like this is slowly changing because Xander is also starting to fall in love with someone else even though he hasn't admitted it yet.
It was great getting to see the characters grow up. They really have grown a lot since the first novel. They started doubt with their matched ceremonies and now they are fighting in a war. I think the biggest draw back I had with this book was the narration. The narrators made the book so slow. I had the hardest time trying to stay focused on the story. I was starting to feel bored. I was definitely thankful to also have the ebook so that I was able to follow along that way as well.
