This is my first review of a graphic novel and I am very excited. Hopefully we will see more.
"Exquisite Corpse" by Penelop Bagieu is definitely an interesting story. Zoe isn't sure what she wants to do with her life. She has a rude boyfriend and a lame job. Once day she meets a gentleman named Thomas Rocher. She feels so intrigued by him that she continues to go back to see him. She ends up leaving her boyfriend and starting a new relationship with this guy.
Thomas Rocher is an author that doesn't leave his apartment at all. Come to find out his ex-wife is also is editor. Rocher and his ex-wife came up with a unique plan to sell more books and when Zoe finds out what it is there is a chance that everything may unravel.
I really enjoyed the book until I got to the end. The story was interesting and kept me engrossed. As it turns out at the end I kind of feel like I wasted my time. I didn't feel like the end had a satisfying conclusion. The cartoon style of the artwork was fun. I have to say I enjoyed that. I do have to include that with the rating and the casual attitude towards nudity that this would definitely be a mature rated story. I was very disappointed to see as much as what was drawn and said.
