Hey everyone,
This weeks What's Cooking Wednesday is Simply in Season the 10th anniversary edition by Mary Beth Lind and Cathleen Hockman-Wert. This book is really good. there are so many great fresh recipes that make you want to head to the farmers market asap. The pictures were beautiful. I loved the fact that this is not a normal cookbook. Before you even reach the recipes there is a guide where you see all kinds of different vegetables and fruits and it explains the season, how to pick and store, the nutrients, how to prepare, and a description of taste and look. I have never seen something like that in a cookbook before and that makes this one pretty special. The recipes are all arranged by season which is really cool. Overall, a great addition to your cookbook library. I can't wait to try the Plum Tomato Galette this summer! :)
