05 I never watched the television show "Clarissa Explains it All," so I didn't come into this story with any expectations. Reading this book, I found that I just could not get into the story. Clarissa seems to be very entertaining, but I just couldn't find any connection between the two of us. I really had a hard time connecting because even if the background stories, I felt a little out of the loop because I never saw the tv show.
