Dazzled by Books

“Lucky Me” by Saba Kapur is a fun light-hearted read. This story is about Gia, who just happens to live a very lucky lifestyle. Gia is very funny. Kapur definitely gave Gia some great witty banter lines. The hardest part for me was that even though Gia was a fun character to read, all the other characters were very flat. There wasn’t really anyone interesting in the book besides Gia.

I was really hoping for a novel that kept me entertained from beginning to end and “Lucky Me” just did not do it for me. Instead I found myself bored and feeling like the book was dragging on with its many pages. I think Kapur has a lot of potential, so I am looking forward to her next novel.
