Tiger's Destiny by Colleen Houck

It all comes down to “Tiger’s Destiny” by Colleen Houck. I keep going back and forth about what to write for this review. I still think the book was great and I give it 4 stars any time but I feel like there is so much more to this book than a rating. I had a lot of feelings when it came to the end of “Tiger’s Destiny.” I had a feeling that everything was going to come down how it did but I had some hope that I was wrong.

The reader is brought back to Kelsey, Kishan, and Ren. Everything is mixed up and wrong. Kelsey doesn’t know how to make a choice, Kishan so desperately wants Kelsey to love him, and Ren is moping and telling Kelsey she is dumb. I feel like that sums up where the characters are out. Now we are going to mix in some time traveling and send Kelsey, Kishan, and Ren to the past.

This is when things really start to become weird. They end up meeting Durga but then it is not Durga, it is a woman named Anamika. Anamika immediately has her eyes on Ren. I feel as if Anamika wanted to use Kelsey has her own doll. I feel like Anamika enjoyed torturing Kelsey. First off why is this Anamika in the picture? Why does she have some attachment to Ren with just meeting him?

I have to say that the biggest thing that bothered me, is I feel like Kelsey is able to get over Kishan way faster than it would happen in real life. Come one…he was your fiancé?! You may have also loved his brother but I feel like there is a whole lot more too all of this and more time should have been taken.

Now back to the story at hand, I feel like “Tiger’s Destiny” was the most predictable out of the saga. I guessed what was going to happen more than once before the story was over. I loved the characters and enjoyed getting to know them through this journey but it would have been nice to have a bit more surprise to the end of the series rather than it being a bam there it is moment.

Form what I can see, there is supposed to be a fifth novel. Maybe the reader will get to know more about Kishan’s story. I really wanted to know more about him. I was really routing that he would get his happy ending. Even though his letter said he did, I still feel like he was jipped a bit. I look forward to seeing what happens in “Tiger’s Dream.”
