Review: It Ends with Us By Colleen Hoover

I am not a big ban of Colleen Hoover books. I find them hit or miss. Colleen, herself seems very delightful. I heard the hype for It Ends with Us. I went back and forth with it. I just kept hearing how amazing it was so when I saw the audio book available from my library I gave in and placed it on hold.

I read over and over go in blind, it's best not to know what the story is about before going in and since that's how I usually roll I went with that. I did ask some friends who have read it if it was safe to listen to at work and I got some lewd emojis in return.

I really appreciate how different It Ends with Us is. I've read my fair share of young adult, New adult, contemporary, chick lit and I can say I have never read a story quite like this one. I haven't really read anything but young adult for about a year. I just got tired of reading the same story over and over so I took a break then I gambled on Hoover.

I laughed, I worried, I waited in suspense, I went through a range of emotions while reading. When all was said and don't I wanted to hug the book. I'm sure when I get my paperback copy I will. The story was written beautifully, most of the characters were lovable. But what really got me was the authors note. I'm pretty sure you have to be a cyborg to not be touched by Colleen's story. I could relate, I think most of us actually can and that's just a sad fact of life. I cried, I cried for Colleen, and I cried for me.

I highly recommend It Ends with Us. As hard as it was to read at times it was completely worth it.
