Elementals: The Blood of the Hydra by Michelle Madow jumps right in where the last book ended. The story is so fast paced, it is hard to keep up at times. I wasn't as impressed with book two as I was with book one. I feel like there is a little bit of the second book slump here. I was hoping to be completely engrossed like I was with the last book and that isn't what happened. I feel like the group of friends was still great. They interact well with each other.
My favorite thing about this series is the Greek mythology that is mixed into everything. A good chunk of this book takes place in Greece and with that it would have been nice to have a bit more of the Greek setting in the book. I think there were a few minor details that should have been fixed. The Elder of Greece should have had an accent. I think there should have been more research and authenticity.
