REVIEW:
Akata Warrior by Nnedi Okorafor is a fabulous sequel to Akata Wich. Sunny Nwazue is a bit older and more grown up. Okorafor brings a bit of a more dreamy and broaden world in Akata Warrior. This sequel focuses a lot more on Sunny discovering who she is as a Leopard Person and what that really means. She learns how to rely on herself and not just the powers taht she is given. I really enjoyed the continued growth that Sunny shows and the different things that she learns about herself.
This book does not bring a lot of action to the story but it does bring you a really good tale. There are many complex situations in this book and lots of self discovery. Okorafor also brings the reader new creatures to meet. It is easy to enjoy this book because the world continues to expand and get bigger. I love how it is so imaginative and colorful. It is quite easy to get sucked in and devour this story. The Akata Witch series is so unique and enjoyable.
