I am the owner of Stub Tail Candle Co. in Portland, OR. We are a small candle company that creates candles inspired by books and fandoms. One of the things that make us unique is we donate a portion of our sales to Animal Rescues.
For this giving Tuesday, I wanted to share why we've decided to donate a portion of our sales. Growing up I didn't have pets. My mom is allergic so we didn't have any. I had many friends and relatives that did and I always enjoyed getting to play with them. I especially loved taking my grandma's dog for a walk. To this day, I still don't have a pet. I am a firm believer that keeping a pet in my apartment isn't the nicest thing to my animal especially since there isn't a yard for them to run around in.I still have friends and relatives that have pets. Her mom will send me videos and pictures every day. I look forward to seeing what Layla is up to each and every day. As a dedication to Layla and Brie (Layla's mom), this company became Stub Tail Candle Co.
Another boxer that has been a part of my life the last five years was an rescue puppy. My significant other adopted a boxer named Miya before we met. Miya turned 10 this year. Sometimes I wonder what would happen to Miya if she wasn't adopted by Zach. She is a sweetheart of a dog that just loves anyone that walks though the door.
I may not be in a position that I can adopt a pet of my own but there is something that I can do. This is why we decided to donate a portion of our sales to an animal rescue. We want all the furbabies to find a nice home and to be taken care of.
I know that furbabies sometimes saves our lives. We should save theirs too if we can. I encourage you to donate your time or funds (whichever is best for you) to your local animal shelter. Some animals just want to feel loved. If that isn't your thing, check out our candles because with each candle you purchase, a portion will go towards an animal rescue of our choice.
