New Year. New Goals.

New Year.

As we all know, we started a new year. This is the time that people make resolutions and try to lose weight or reach goals. You are very motivated and ready to go strong. Then as the year dwindles, you find that you lost motivation or your reached your goal but never made a new one. Unless you are goal happy then you probably are completely set. Then you have  people like me who don't have a resolution and the one goal you set for 2018 is how many books you will read. Don't get me wrong, I am a very motivated person. I have goals, dreams, and aspirations but they aren't really focused around what year it is. No New Year Resolutions for me. Instead my new goals have less to do with the new and more to do with being ready.

New Goals.

I am ready to stop living in fear of losing my job. Last year I went through a bit of a rough patch at work and God blessed me with a job opportunity right in time for me not to go unemployed. That job has been a blessing but I have constantly held a fear of doing everything right and not taking risks so that I don't have to worry about losing my position. This isn't a way I want to live. I choose to no longer live in this fear and I am going to work my butt off to not keep my job but to move up and achieve my professional goals.

More Me.

Something else that I am ready for is being more me. Last year and the year before, I worked so much that I lost a bit of myself within that. I've had to figure out what to do with all this time I have back to myself. During that period, I became a bit of a workaholic. A goal of mine is to work on myself more. I want to be proud of the person I am becoming and I want to enjoy life and be happy. This is something I think needs some work. People tell me all the time that I look like I am not happy. I'm not totally sure why. I don't know if it is a look on my face or the fact that I am not super bubbly anymore. It could be something else. People grown and they change and I want to make sure that I am growing and changing for the better.

New Hair.

Most people know that I have been rocking purple hair for a little more than a year now. I absolutely love it. It has brought me a new sense of confidence and fun. I began to become creative with how to style my hair in order to show off the purple in different lights. I am ready for a change. By the time you read this, I will have dyed my hair. It isn't a fancy color. It is eclectic or exciting. It fits me and the imagine I want to have currently.
