Mini Book Review:
I liked this more than I thought I would. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy magical boarding school with debutants. Quell has been on the run her whole life and she went to seek refuge from her grandmother. Quell's grandmother is a powerful head mistress of a magical house that quell is now part of. Quell is now going to be a debutante and train in magic. She is also keeping a deadly secret. I feel like the world building was a bit lacking and there was a lot of tropes. I enjoyed this book however was lacking in a lot of areas as well.
