Miss Congeniality meets The Bachelor in this action-packed rom-com debut about an investigative journalist who sneaks onto reality TV only to fall for the wrong guy. Georgia Rose is not going on the hit reality dating show Love Shack to find love. She's there to write a killer exposé on the producers, which will guarantee the journalism job of her dreams. But when Georgia's unforgettable one-night stand from the year before, country singer Rhett Auburn, steps into the Malibu mansion as the season's new host, all of her carefully crafted plans unravel. Caught up in the drama of backstabbing contestants, producer blackmail, and death-defying dates, Georgia must keep her identity-and history with Rhett-a secret. Despite the lies between them, it isn't long before Georgia and Rhett's heated behind-the-scenes moments start to feel more genuine than the romance Georgia's faking for the cameras. But with her assignment unfinished and the executive producer on her tail, a second chance with Rhett could be her riskiest move of all.

Review:

Most Eligible by Isabelle Engel was a pretty quick read for me. I always enjoy a good play on the bachelor or bachelorette. This story sucked me in straight away. Georgia has been casted on a reality dating show called Love Shack. She is competing with several other women to win the affection of the most eligible bachelor, tennis pro, Roland Marchetti. Georgia is there for other reasons, she is undercover to investigate and report on Lainey Williams. There have been many reports from past contestants stating that they were emotionally manipulated and given more alcohol vs food to keep them starving and creating more drama for the show.

This season, the new host has been kept a secret until the first day of filming when Season 18’s most eligible bachelor, country singer, Rhett Auburn is revealed. Never in a million years would Georgia think that the one night stand she had a year ago would be right in front of her. Now she has to figure out how to keep her past history with Rhett a secret otherwise she will be kicked off the show. Does she still have feelings for Rhett? She was devastated when she woke up that one fateful night and he had left her.

Behind the cameras there is more than enough manipulation for Georgia to write about but she needs proof for her story. As she investigates more, she finds how much everything is entangled all together. Nothing behind the scenes is how it seems either. Georgia has a whirlwind experience in front of her.

I enjoyed this book. I thought it was cute and lighthearted. The narrator did a wonderful job with the audiobook. If you are an audiobook reader, I would highly recommend. I enjoy a good tale that makes light of reality tv. I really enjoyed all the friendships. I think the contestants becoming friends is the highlight of the story. If you are looking for something fun and cute, then this may be the book for you.
