Confusingly, the one person Mery can trust is Stark Therion-the dark, dangerous Alpha she thought hated her as much as she loathed him. Yet, his loyalty is unshakeable. His presence is intoxicating. And with his guidance, Meryn can seize an unthinkable level of power. With enemies closing in and shadows stirring in her dreams, Meryn stands to lose her kingdom-and her heart. Blood will spill. Bonds will break. Fate will be tested.

Book Review:
Fury Bound is a fantastic continuation of the series. Fast‑paced, immersive, and every bit as addictive as Dire Bound. Picking up right where the first book leaves off, we follow Meryn as she struggles to step into her role as queen and earn the trust of her fellow bonded. It’s messy, complicated, and deeply compelling.
One of the strongest elements of this installment is the expanded world‑building. The magic system grows richer, the stakes widen, and the world feels bigger and more dangerous. I braced myself for a sophomore slump, but Sorensen delivers a sequel that not only holds its ground but builds on everything that made book one so gripping. The beginning starts a bit slowly, but the momentum ramps up quickly and never lets go.
The dual POV is a standout. Getting both Meryn and Stark’s perspectives adds emotional depth, especially to their slow‑burn romance. Stark’s chapters give us the insight I’d been craving, and seeing the relationship unfold through his eyes makes the tension even more satisfying. Yes, both characters have moments that test your patience, but the dynamic works and the dual POV makes it clear why.
And then there’s Anassa. The bond between human and dire wolf remains one of my favorite parts of the series, and Anassa absolutely shines here. Her mental banter with Meryn is sharp, funny, and full of personality. She steals scenes effortlessly and adds warmth and levity exactly when the story needs it.
The plot moves at a solid pace, the emotional punches land hard, and Sorensen once again proves they know how to break your heart in the best way. The ending wraps up well while still leaving room for what’s next. Yes, there’s a cliffhanger but nothing like the brutal one from book one.
Fury Bound is engaging, emotional, and wonderfully crafted. A strong, satisfying sequel that left me eager for more.
