Take a leap and find the sun. ..
Eddie doesn't like Mondays. He'd rather burrow under the covers than face the day.
Then he hears a tap tap tap ...
An unexpected friend has arrived to take him on a journey. Eddie is afraid, but that's okay, journeys can sometimes be frightening. Step by step Eddie grows braver, and before long he understands.
Through any storm... you can always find the sun.
It’s only in the darkest of darks that we shine the brightest.
Book Review:
In Find the Sun, Eddie wakes up on a rainy morning feeling worried about Monday. The storm outside makes everything seem a little scary, so he holds on tight to his bright yellow stuffed bunny. Soon, Eddie drifts into a dreamy world where the rain is still falling but his cheerful bunny appears and invites him on an adventure to go “find the sun.”
Together, they travel through amazing, colorful places. Some parts feel a little dark or spooky, but Eddie learns that when you take brave steps forward, even small ones, your fears start to shrink. His yellow bunny helps him remember that he already has courage inside him, even when he doesn’t feel it right away.
By the time Eddie finally sees the sun shining again, he realizes he’s stronger than he thought and he’s ready to face Monday with a brighter, braver heart.
I loved how this book tackled anxiety but in kid form. I really enjoyed this picture book and I think Andy Harkness did a wonderful job.
