Angelle Prejean is in a pickle. Her family is expecting her to come home with a fiancé—a fiancé who doesn’t exist. Well, he exists, but he definitely has no idea Angelle told her mama they were engaged. Tattooed, muscled, and hotter than sin, Cane can reduce Angelle to a hot mess with one look—and leave her heart a mess if she falls for him. But when she ends up winning Cane at a charity bachelor auction, she knows just how to solve her fiancé problem.

Cane Robicheaux is no one’s prince. He doesn’t do relationships and he doesn’t fall in love. When sweet, sultry-voiced Angelle propositions him, he hopes their little game can finally get her out of his head. He doesn’t expect her to break through all his barriers. But even as Angelle burrows deeper into his heart, he knows once their seven days are up, so is their ruse.

Review:

Holy Cow! Holy Cow! Holy Cow! “Seven Day Fiancé” by Rachel Harris is amazing. I loved “Taste the Heat” but I think “Seven Day Fiancé” has definitely surpassed that. This was such a steamy novel. When I say steamy, I am thinking yummy and fun not over the top romance novels. Angelle and Cane are so great together. I thought I liked them in “Taste the Heat” but goodness give them their own novel and you can’t go wrong.

Angelle is trying to find herself. She is branching away from everything she grew up in and trying to become her own person. I love how Angelle starts out completely shy and embarrassed in the beginning of the book and becomes a total hellcat by the end of the book. I would have to say that Angelle is one of my favorite female characters. I felt like I could relate to her a lot too. Just how she thought and processed different things. I was thinking as I read the book that it was something I would ponder about or that was the decision I would have made, so I felt like I had a deeper connection with Angelle. I just want to throw out there that I love the name Angelle.

Cane is definitely a hottie. I don’t even think there is a better word to describe him. Cane is the cute bar tender that all the girls swoon over but the serious relationship girls stay away from and the one night flings go after him. Cane has to battle with some personal issues before he can enter into a relationship with anyone. I see a lot of growth in Cane has he has to get over his dad’s mistakes and realize that he is not his father.

I don’t think Cane nor Angelle were expecting to fall in love with each other. I can see Angelle falling in loe with Can more that Cane falling in love with Angelle just because she is the more sensitive one out of the two. Angelle is definitely trying to find the person that will mesh with her the best but until she finds that person, she wants to keep her family off her back so she creates a fake fiancé. When Angelle has to come home for a week and the family is expecting her to bring the fiancé with her. WhenAngelle bids on Cane at a bachelor’s auction, she asks him if he is willing to pretend for a week for her sake. Cane figured as long as he got a booty call out of the deal he was okay with it. What Cane didn’t know is that Angelle is a virgin and so sex mean ways more to her than it does to him. I think Angelle and Cane both learn a lot about themselves and about each other.

This novel is so swoon worthy it is amazing. There is sexual tension scenes and slightly steamy ones. There is sexy hot characters that work well together. Honestly I don’t think a reader could ask for more. Harris definitely knows how to write wonderful drool worthy characters. The ABS at the beginning of the book show so much just right there. That was just the start! There is so much more to read and fall in love with as the reader digs through page by page.’

“Seven Day Fiancé” took my breath away. I definitely think that this is a fantastic novel. One definitely worth reading, I believe that these are only $2.99 for your digital reader. Rachel Harris is an amazing writer and I am not just saying that because she is a friend of mine but because I really mean it. Rachel has a way of capturing my attention with every book that she writes. I am always looking forward to her next release. Harris is definitely one of my favorite writers just because she has beautiful writing technique and she knows how to capture her readers. If “Seven Day Fiancé” and “Taste the Heat” aren’t for you, then try her young adult series, “My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century” and “A Tale of Two Centuries.” I recommend all of her books.

Author:

Rachel Harris grew up in New Orleans, where she watched soap operas with her grandmother and stayed up late sneak reading her mama’s favorite romance novels. Now a Cajun cowgirl living in Houston, she still stays up way too late reading her favorite romances, only now, she can do so openly. She firmly believes life’s problems can be solved with a hot, powdered-sugar-coated beignet or a thick slice of king cake, and that screaming at strangers for cheap, plastic beads is acceptable behavior in certain situations.
When not typing furiously or flipping pages in an enthralling romance, she homeschools her two beautiful girls and watches reality television with her amazing husband. Taste The Heat is her adult romance debut. She’s the author of MY SUPER SWEET SIXTEENTH CENTURY and A TALE OF TWO CENTURIES. She loves hearing from readers! Find her at www.RachelHarrisWrites.com.
